Tested this scent at the counter a few weeks back and have not been able to get it out of my mind! Really enjoyed your review of this fragrance. Your review was done very eloquently and just hearing you describe the notes, I can remember the scent vividly.

  2. I received my beautiful bottle of this perfume today and adore the fragrance.  The bottle is simple and exquisite, much like Giorgio Armani's fashion.

  3. I purchased a rollerball and not realize I'm willing to commit to a larger size. I love it. My signature scent is CoCo Mademoiselle.

  4. Always love your fragrance reviews!  Obviously, Armani Si is not suitable for my testosterone laden skin but I'll to check this one out for the ladies in my life (three daughters no less). You could say that Si is not for Me! (lol)

Oh, this fragrances is classified as a Chypre Fruity. Chypre is pronounced Sheep-Rah and labdanum is a fixative and also a trickster when used in fragrance because it comes across as being a bit leathery, ambery and, to me, somewhat musky/balmy. It's hard to explain what it smells like because labdanum is rarely a prominent note in perfume. To me, it gives a fragrance depth, attitude and, perhaps, even some balls and ovaries depending on one's viewpoint. The best example would probably be Labdanum 18 by Le Labo.

    Two thumbs-up!!

  5. I wear Armani code in the fall/winter.  When I saw Si advertised and got my hands on a sample, I immediately had to order it. I noticed that citrus scent right away. When I wear it, that part of the scent settles down to let the more floral parts come through.  Perfect for spring and summer. BTW, your makeup is lovely. what blush are you wearing?

  6. That perfume doesn't have a single drop of natural essential oils or anything like that, which is fine because almost no perfumes do anymore. Not even the most luxuriously expensive ones. So when someone is chosen to list notes they're just describing what they smell and what they want you to smell. That same list of notes could be re- written in infinite ways. So that could be the reason someone smells patchouli :) I personally would describe the scent entirely different than what you did, but smell is a subjective thing!
