  1. Balenciaga was not interested in the stenciled beauty look, they wanted a rare beauty. They achieved this with Charlotte. It is difficult for the commercialized tastes to recognize depth in beauty these days, but Balenciaga isn't really interested in pleasing the blind and the ordinary.

  2. In Ghesquière we trust
    (4,182/7L)

  3. Cristobal Balenciaga was all about edgy and self assured beauty. Not about some boho left bank drifter with second hand fame and a good publicist. Enough!

  4. What's up with Balenciaga going gaga over Charlotte. Let's be real, she is not tropical beauty, She's plain as the baguette. The only reason she gets cast is because of her inherited fame [and the French are so patriotic] She's not even a good actor.

So what that she has a famous name, there are plenty of unknown girls who could have make this campaign really alluring and beautiful, But Charlotte, P lllllllllllllease. she is so NOT beautiful Okaaaay

  5. boisterous panda

i agree they chose the wrong girl. she is better suited for a line like marc jacobs, which is more feminine and dreamy.

  6. she does not represent the spirit of Balenciaga to me. She is too etherial ,lacking in architectural strength of mind and form.
