  1. Great vid. I just made a vid about balenciagas new perfume.

  2. Hi Katie, How about a review on balenciaga l'essence :)

Poudre is a slightly friendlier version of 19. But overall, I find iris perfumes very refined, elegant, and borderline cool.

  4. Your description of this perfume is exactly how I feel about Iris scents – very unwelcoming, "hands off the merchandise!" type scent. Every time I sniff, let's say, No. 19 Poudre, I get a very cold feeling. It's the kind of scent you wear when you don't want anyone to approach you. Do you know what I mean?

  5. Amazing you sense it is 'uptight'. Though I trust your nose….I bought this yesterday as I wear no.19… I would definitely say I'm an aloof character who has a tendency to overthink and would probably be described as 'uptight'.

I bought the perfume because I needed something more feminine. And was drawn to this…maybe because I love the images…the still life of object d'art…it helps build a story behind the scent. Also like Charlotte Gainsbourg.

  6. I got it, although I like the intial smell, the after effect (the iris) lol is what I don't like.

That is a wonderful result to have such a great relationship with a perfume.

Perfect! Also check out Prada Infusion d'Iris edp.

  9. lol "hands off the merchandise" love it, want to try it. Although I can be "come hither" I can also be a prude.

  10. Thank you for your efforts in sharing your views with us. I always smile when i see your videos. Your description of perfumes is like no other. Although at times i agree and disagree, i always look you up when i want to buy a certain perfume. Shalimar and LArgent are my next perfumes to test out.

    Thank you once again :)

  11. I purchased this perfume a week ago and i LOVE IT
I feel so fresh wearing it. A smell like no other (my point of view)
It has become my signature scent.
At tiimes, i'll put on a certain perfume and i say "hmmm is it too strong, will others take offense to it?" I don't think this way with Balenciaga because people tell me how lovely i smell. I have to be at work by 5am this perfume sets off my day in such a beautiful and fresh way. I feel so beautiful when i wear it.

  12. The original is classic. Anything else, including a knock-off even from the same company is deplorable. Poison from Dior was another great fragrance then came Tender Poison because some thought the original was too heavy. Not sure if Dior started that trend in slightly changing their recipes and thus giving it a new name…again, it's deplorable. If you cannot wear a classic, or don't even enjoy the classic smell, don't wear it.

I'm loving Chanel No. 5 extrait lately.

  14. Perhaps this sophisticated fragrance like another one I wear, No 5 by Chanel is uptight too? No, not at all. Paris is warming to the heart as well as welcoming to the soul. Not everyone can wear Flowerbomb, thank goodness.

Let me know if it's love when you get it!

  16. Nice, I like the way you describe scents!

  17. I love the way you describe this scent as being uptight and refined. This is my personality and I'm drawn to this cool dry scent that says "stay away"!

  18. Katie Puckrik Smells

@broadcastneo Infusion D'Iris, you're talking about. I find that one dryer, more unisex than No 19 Poudre, but they do both feature iris and have a certain ascetic quality.

  19. i like this perfume, for me it has a type of elegance that could be edgy in a way like the balenciaga handbags.. and yes it is green this perfume,it reminds of Prada one "the light green bottle" i forgot it's name ! when it settles..and that prada is kind of similar to Chanel 19 "poudre" !
